Sometimes a part needs rigidity, is too big for a 3D printer, or your requirements just call for metal. We've got you covered. We design parts and assemblies that incorporate metal, and our production partners make them.
Design
Where metal meets plastic.
Many of our designs join 3D printed plastic parts with metal ones, such as sheet metal panels and brackets. The metal adds strength and stiffness where the part needs it, and the plastic handles shapes that would be hard or costly to make in metal.
A design can use a little metal or a lot. We can customize how much we use based on your requirements, balancing cost, weight and size.

Production
From prototype to manufacturing.
We test the fit with 3D printed prototypes, then prepare the files a manufacturer needs. Today most of our metal work is sheet metal. Other processes, such as machining or metal 3D printing, are possible depending on the project.
We work with manufacturers around the world to get you the best quality and cost. If your parts need to be made in the USA, we can do that too.
